“You are the reason that I’m standing here by myself. It keeps you up at night. The adrenaline in your veins only fuels your rage. You hate them, don’t you? You fucking hate them. Don’t ever do it again, I know where you live. Don’t ever speak my name again. I know what hatred is. I have felt this way forever. I will not hide this time. My eyes can see your future. It starts with you fading away, that part is clear. Now it’s your turn, now it’s your turn. Disappear. Just keep your fucking mouth shut. You’re just a worthless piece of shit. You think scum like you will ever amount to a thing. You’ll grow old ad die, no one will remember your name. When you beg for mercy and a clean slate, I’ll make you remember why you fueled my hate. Fuck you for what you put me through. I hate people like you. You will feel my pain. You’ll hurt.”

Realistically, I should have bought this album after the first 100 scrobbles of In Reach (Out of Touch), but it's never too late to do the right thing. This has a different atmosphere (and story) than The Lost City, but it's just as good and just as melodic. porcelainheart-
A masterful EP, The Oklahoma Kid is resoundingly beautiful and presents a work that is as meaningful as it is introspective. Fortuneteller encapsulates the very essence of the post-hardcore and metalcore genres, but effectively intertwines tech metal and crushing djent riffs into a very solid effort. The Oklahoma Kid is intelligent, passionately-moving, and intensely engaging; music of my golden years. :) Kenny McGalem
